Our Services
Preventative Care
Cleanings & Exams
Depending on your age and health history, we recommend scheduling a dental cleaning and exam with us every 6 months. These visits are the best way to lower your risk of gum disease and tooth decay and catch issues early on.
At Frechette Family Dentistry, your appointment will include a gentle cleaning from your amazing hygienists, and a dental examination with either Dr. Frechette or Dr. Keder. We generally recommend bitewing xrays annually and a full mouth series every 3-5 years depending on the individual patient. Contact us today to schedule your visit.
Mouthguards
Many people subconsciously grind their teeth in times of stress or during sleep. When coming together, the strong force of the teeth and jaws can cause grinding and microfractures, resulting in prematurely worn teeth.
Our doctors at Frechette Family Dentistry offer mouthguards (also called night guards) to protect teeth from becoming prematurely worn or damaged. For nighttime use only, these professional mouthguards can prevent painful jaws, tooth damage and even TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) issues.
Restorative & Cosmetic Care
Fillings
While most people today practice good dental hygiene, many will have to deal with a cavity at some point in their life. The type of foods you eat, genetics, and natural oral bacteria contribute to some level of tooth decay for most people over their lives.
If you do have a cavity, we offer a variety of filling types ranging from natural white composite to amalgam, with composite filings being by far the most popular. Made from a durable composite material, they look great, allowing you to smile with confidence.
Porcelain Crowns & Veneers
While everyone naturally wants to keep their natural teeth as long as possible. And generally, cavities can be treated with a composite white filling. Occasionally however, situations occur involving more advanced decay, compromising tooth structure, resulting in risk of cracks or breaks, and other issues. Or, an existing, older crown may crack, chip or break, requiring replacement.
At Frechette Family Dentistry, we are skilled at designing custom porcelain crowns and veneers to restore the strength, health, and aesthetics of your smile.
We now have the capability in many circumstances of completing the entire procedure in a single visit with our new in-house CEREC crown design and milling system. Since the entire process is done in our dental office, there is no need for a temporary crown. CEREC crowns are permanent ceramic crowns, which means the same day that you need a crown, you get one.
Bridges
A dental bridge is one of many options to replace teeth. Our Doctors can make beautiful and functional bridges, which look completely natural! We pride ourselves on our skill in restoring your smile while bringing back the integrity of your bite, so you can eat with comfort.
Bridges are secured by crowns on neighboring teeth. They remain above the gum line, and the force they withstand gets distributed along the bridge and its supporting crowns. Bridges are especially effective if the surrounding teeth need crowns. In that case, the entire bridge and crown restoration brings strength and function back to those teeth.
Dentures
Dentures are often a convenient treatment choice for replacing several or a whole arch of missing teeth. Made from modern materials that resemble natural teeth and gums, dentures renew your appearance and make it easier to eat and speak with increased confidence.
Doctors Frechette and Keder will design either full or partial removable dentures for patients who have lost teeth or are facing tooth extractions.
Full dentures replace all the teeth in your lower arch, upper arch, or both while partial dentures use remaining teeth as support.
Extractions
While we’ll always do everything possibly can to save a tooth using restorative procedures, occasionally a tooth cannot be saved.
An extraction will be part of a broader treatment plan Dr. Frechette or Dr. Keder will design for you.
And as always, we’ll help you feel confident in having all the information for making an informed decision regarding your dental health, as well as comfortable during the procedure itself.
Emergency Care
It eventually happens to almost everyone, and never at a convenient time.
A tooth suddenly becomes painful. Or a tooth cracks or chips while chewing on something hard. Or maybe a crown is damaged or a filling falls out.
Doctors Frechette and Keder are here to help. Give us a call if for any reason you feel you are in need of emergency care.
